One of the first steps in this direction is - Choosing the right Guitar as a beginner.

Different types of Guitar are available, each catering to specific preferences and playing styles. Selecting the ideal one can significantly enhance your playing experience and comfort. For example, when you visit a Music store, you will find, Acoustic guitars, electric guitars, Bass, and Ukuleles. It might all seem a little confusing and overwhelming at first, but that's what this guide is for.

At the end of this blog, you will find some budget Guitar recommendations to help you begin your journey!

Step 1. What kind of Music do you want to play?

There are a lot of genres in music, but to put it in simpler terms for choosing your first guitar,

What kind of music do you want to play?

If you want to play acoustic melodies or sing and strum along your guitar without the hassle of cables and an amplifier, go for an Acoustic Guitar!

If you want to play heavy rock-style riffs or the blues, or if you want to experiment with different tones, go for an electric guitar!

We suggest you listen to both Guitars on YouTube; take your time and choose what captivates you more!

Step 2. Choosing the right Guitar Size.

The Guitar comes in different sizes and shapes. It mostly depends on your comfort! You should choose the right guitar size so that it is not uncomfortable for you while playing. Guitars come in different sizes and designs.

If you plan to buy a guitar for your kids (ages 7-12), Go for a 34, or 36-inch variant.

The Guitar also comes in 38, 39, 40 and 41 inches. It all depends on your comfort and preference.

Check out our Blog on how to hold the guitar properly to get an idea of how to try different sizes!

Our recommendation would be to visit a store and try out different guitars.

Step 3. Budget

After figuring out what you want to play and choosing the right size, This is probably the most critical factor - Guitar Price.

Hundreds of options are available online in all budgets, and it can be challenging to choose between them. If you have a very low budget, it is what it is, get in touch for low budget guitar options, but mind you, they won't be very durable.

The choices will only depend on your budget. But our recommendation for beginners would be to keep their budget at least INR 5000.

You can find s perfect acoustic guitar options in the range of ₹6000 - ₹12000.

On the other hand, an electric guitar needs investment as you will also require an amplifier.

Note: Most beginners start with an acoustic guitar.

You will also need to add the cost of some essential accessories to your budget, such as a guitar bag, some extra strings, and some guitar picks

Most stores give these accessories free with the purchase of the Guitar, but usually, the bag could be of better quality.

Please demand a better quality bag, even if you have to pay a few extra hundred rupees. An excellent padded bag protects your guitar from bumps and scratches during travel or rough handling.
